about

Coyote completed the screenplay, Kung Fu Cowboy Rock & Roll Movie 1, in February 2013. But Coyote realized he might not win an Oscar for "Best Song in A Movie" unless he wrote a song for the movie. So he wrote "Scorpion Resurrection" which is now the official subtitle of the movie: Kung Fu Cowboy Rock & Roll Movie 1 - Scorpion Resurrection.

lyrics

INTRO GUITAR SOLO: (B)

B
You got your problems - I've got mine

A
You've got a dollar - I've got a dime

F#________________G
You've got a family - I wish I had mine

E__________________F#
You've got a home - I'm committing a crime

B____________________A
I'm sleeping on the street - in my car in the cold and heat

F#_____________G_______E____________F#
Part-time jobs are all I find - searching for my peace of mind

C______D_____G_____C______D_____________G
Sleeping with the stars - we're not homeless we have cars

C______D______G______E_______________________F#
I need a financial injection - to complete my scorpion resurrection

B
Buddha Kung Fu was Shaolin Chi Mantis

A
Along with Tai Chi Youth - a playground in Atlantis

F#________________G
The Coyote Clan was a wife and two kids

E______________F#
Now their religion - singing with me forbids

B
No, I'm not blaming the economy

A
I'm done shaming those who deserted me

F#_________________G
I've got resentment for some relatives

____E___________F#
Who failed to help or offer a place to live

C______D_____G_____C______D_____________G
Sleeping with the stars - we're not homeless we have cars

C______D______G______E_______________________F#
I need a financial injection - to complete my scorpion resurrection

G____________A_____________B
But now I see the blessing of what could have been much worse

G_______________A_______________B
If I'd allowed them to support me - their advice would be my curse

C_________D___________________G__________Bm
Parents want peace of mind when they go to bed each night

_____C________D______________G
So for their security they know what's right - "For them"

GUITAR SOLO: B

B
As I look back on the choices I have made

A
My parents only see how much I was paid

F#_____________G
I haven't lived my life for money

________E_____________F#
I've been singing songs and writing poetry

B
I'm a man of multiple identity

A
So don't think you ever see - all of me

F#________G
I am who I want to be

___E_________________F#
Can you say the same are you really free?

C______D_____G_____C______D_____________G
Sleeping with the stars - we're not homeless we have cars

C______D______G______E_______________________F#
I need a financial injection - to complete my scorpion resurrection
